Traineeships: Learn then Earn!

Jun 7, in Hints & Tips

Traineeships can be used somewhat interchangeably with apprenticeships because of the shared ultimate goal aimed at providing a career start for people entering a particular occupation or industry while earning a wage. It is still classified under Australian apprenticeships, however traineeships do tend to have more of a specific focus and are therefore conducted over a shorter period of time.

They can last up to three years and are either workplace based or institution based training programs.  Many are combined with off-the-job school based study, but some can be delivered entirely on the job, with the help of a training plan by a Registered Training Organisation. Many traineeships lead to quality and desirable full time jobs so it is important not to miss the opportunity to land one quickly!
