Second Year

Electrical apprenticeship jobs during the second year involves safety practices and orientation, AC circuits and electricity, trigonometry, capacitance, parallel and series circuits, 3-phase AC, motors, transformers, motor sizing for jobs, commercial and industrial wiring and DC motors and generators.

Third Year

Electrical apprenticeship jobs during the third year involves safety practices and orientation, understanding and reading blueprints, advanced training for motor controls, grounding, installing fire alarms, data cabling and voice cabling.

Fourth Year

Electrical apprenticeship jobs during the fourth year involves safety practices and orientation, certification for CPR and first aid, electronic control device comprehension and installation, application of motors and starters, fire alarm troubleshooting, load calculations and transformers.

• VDV Installer. Work involves equipment installation for security, computer networks and telecommunication systems.
• Outside Lineman. Job primarily involves installation of outside lines.
• Inside Wireman. Job includes installation of outlets, fixtures and wiring inside commercial and industrial properties.
• Residential Wireman. Specialises in wire installation in small multi-unit or single-family residences.
