Craig Hand Wins Group Training Award

Sep 29, in Hints & Tips

The  2011 NSW Group Training Awards were held earlier this month at the Westin Hotel in Sydney CBD.  There are more than 8000 apprentices and trainees in NSW who are honing their skills through Group Training.  One of those is apprenticepower apprentice Craig Hand, who was awarded Trainee of the Year in Mining and Primary Industries.  He was also a finalist in the Apprentice and Trainee of the Year.

“He [Craig] was there with his partner, parents and his boss,” said Roy Walsh, apprenticepower Operations Manager.  “They were all very proud of him as are we.  It is great to be represented at these awards nights.  Congratulations to Craig, he has really worked hard and has done very well to get here.”

The event is a celebration of the excellence and achievements of the best NSW has to offer.  This year set a record for award applications, with over 1000 entries.  These figures are a testimony to the strength of Group Training in NSW and make Craig’s achievements that much more special.
