15,000 career seekers are expected to attend this year’s Western Sydney Apprenticeship & Traineeship Expo at Penrith Panthers Marquee Exhibition Hall on Tuesday, September 6. It is a chance to apply for apprenticeships and traineeships from numerous exhibitors representing industry, businesses, group training companies and registered training organisations.
apprenticepower is the principal sponsor of the Western Sydney Apprenticeship & Traineeship Expo for the second year. We are working with our partners – the Australian Defence Force, Penrith Schools Industry Partnership and Nepean Careers Forum – to create the largest event of its kind in NSW.
The expo kicks off the recruitment process. Businesses get the chance to collect resumes and promote their organization for upcoming recruitment drives. Also, there will be Careers Advisors from the Nepean Careers Forum meeting with career seekers and parents on the night to discuss career options.
“The expo is a great opportunity for employers to take advantage of the talent who gather on the night,” said apprenticepower Managing Director, Ian Tucker. “Scores of companies are joining us in securing the skills future of our country and industry by offering these talented young people an apprenticeship or traineeship.”
The Expo has grown with the support of last year’s event. It is going to be bigger and better for career seekers and employers alike. The profile of the event has been heightened with live onsite broadcast by radio station The Edge 96.1 and live reads on the night by 2UE.
