History

apprenticepower began operations in 1981, as WSROC Group Apprentices, with the support of the State and Federal Governments, Trade Unions and Industry. apprenticepower is a not-for-profit organisation, with the aim of providing quality training and employment solutions to the community of Western Sydney. Since 1981, apprenticepower has graduated in excess of 800 well trained tradespeople for industry.

apprenticepower was set up to support Apprentice Hosts and enable them to concentrate on their core business rather than the usual employment worries associated with taking on an apprentice/trainees. apprenticepower provides Apprentice Hosts with a wage service, training-employment support service, and keeps Apprentice Hosts up to speed with current industry knowledge and practice.

apprenticepower is controlled by a Board of Directors drawn from Local Government, Industry and the Department of Education and Training NSW. They have well established relationships with schools, TAFE Colleges, Industry and local communities, with an enviable reputation in the employment and training sector. apprenticespower operates under and responds to a Code of Conduct.

apprenticepower became the new name for WSROC Group Apprentices in early 2010.
