Cooks work within the kitchens of cafes, restaurants, hotels, clubs and similar enterprises and perform roles including preparing food, catering a range of dishes, planning menus and controlling costs. This apprenticeship takes 4 years to complete.
Duties May Include:
- Organise and prepare food.
- Prepare food.
- Use basic cooking methods.
- Receive and store kitchen supplies.
- Implement food safety procedures.
- Receive and store supplies
- Plan and control menu based catering.
- Clean and maintain kitchen premises.
Personal Requirements:
- A high level of personal cleanliness
- Good communication skills
- Punctuality
- Ability to plan your time and work under Pressure

- Minimum Year 10
